Horses of Hope- Kansas...In April 1997, a dream was born to provide equine-assisted therapeutic and educational services in Southeast Kansas and the surrounding four-state area. Horses of Hope Riding Center, Inc. located in rural Baxter Springs, Kansas opened in the fall of that year and gained affiliation with the Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship International (PATH Intl) and now holding many years of premiere accredited status while meeting the highest quality for facilities, programs and administration. State-of-the-art equine-driven therapeutic programs all happen on a wonderful 40-acre working horse and small animal farm, sharing horses of all sizes, goats, sheep and our Chickens of Hope. Of course… don’t forget Ole Shep the official greeter…

Horses of Hope Missouri Inc. was intentionally designed and created as a “sister-site” to Horses of Hope- Kansas in 2003 on a 20-acre horse farm in Buffalo, Missouri. The farm was purchased through the assistance of the Missouri Department of Economic Development Neighborhood Assistance tax credit program to focus on providing therapeutic and educational programs and complete the indoor arena and office/therapy facility. In 2021, the decision was made to re-locate the Horses of Hope- Missouri, Inc. farm to allow Horses of Hope Missouri Inc. to serve more children, families and agencies in need of state-of-the-art equine therapeutic and educational services for all ages and stages. This lovely Missouri farm now sits on 40 acres of lush pastures and a magical Hope Grove full of old oak trees and trails full of hope to discover within a natural setting.
With the use of the horses I noticed an immediate ability for my son to begin to truly "feel" calm for the first time in his life.
